Living downtown in a major city is eye opening. It's not cookie cutter. It's not neat & tidy. It's raw & it's gritty.
It's tidy to be a Christian inside a church on a Sunday. It's the real deal being a Christian in everyday city life. To pass by fellow humans that look different than you, that may be struggling, that may be living on the streets. To come face to face on a daily basis with what it means to love God & love your neighbor, in ways that aren't always easy or comfortable.
I'm incredibly grateful to be raising Grace in a city. It's humbling. It's glorious. It's beautiful.
...Of all the commandments, which is the most important?...
The most important one is...
Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
The second is this:
Love your neighbor as yourself.
There is no commandment greater than these.
Mark 12:28-31
