What's new in our world...

Here's an update on what's new in our world:

Dogs:  The dogs are well.  Jack is close to 100% better.  Thundra is great also, although we are wondering if she's losing her hearing.  They are a trip to bring outside together- Jack likes to walk fast and pull the leash forward, Thundra likes to walk slow and pull the leash back.  And then if you add a baby to the mix (in or out of a baby carriage- both equally fun.  LOL!) it only adds to the humorous site that we must be to onlookers.

Weight:  As mentioned in a previous post, I was wondering if I was going to gain, lose, or stay the same weight with all the walking and eating that we are doing.  Well, I weighed in for my monthly check-in at Weight Watchers (free for lifetime members) and the verdict is in:  stayed the same!  I think that's good news.  Now I just need to adjust with a little more walking and a little more portion control and I just might tackle those last 3 pounds that I want to lose.

Car:  We registered & insured our vehicle in our new state.  I'm so excited to have our new license plates adorn our Saturn.  As always, it's the little things that make me smile.  It's just one more reminder that our time here is real & not just a vacation or a dream.

Employment:  This is probably our most exciting update.  My husband has secured a job.  It's a full time position with benefits!  And it's only 10 blocks from our condo.  He can walk there in under 10 minutes or take the street car and get there in around 5 minutes.  His previous commute was a minimum of 1 hour driving each way (if there was no traffic), so this is such a blessing.

"Oh God, I beg two favors from you; let me have them before I die.  First, help me to never tell a lie.  Second, give me neither poverty nor riches!  Give me just enough to satisfy my needs."
Proverb 30: 7-8 (NLT)
