I often think of an image that my husband & I have talked about on several occasions. It's a symbolic image of the life we want to live. It's sort of a silly image, but with a serious meaning. Picture us wearing dog cones (you know, the ones that dogs wear so they can't lick or pick at a wound). And picture that it would force us to only look UP. Exactly where we should be looking. Imagine the focus we'd have. Imagine that.

Don't get me wrong- I'm not "literally" going to be looking up. I'm going to be looking around, looking in front of me, looking at people, soaking in the beautiful world, focusing on the here & now. All while my internal focus will be "up". That's my goal anyway.
