2 Years

It's no secret:  
I LOVE this city.  I LOVE this state.  I LOVE this part of the country.  

Today is our 2 year anniversary since we arrived.  2 amazing years.  I remember leaving like it was yesterday.  It was exciting & sad & hard & awesome all wrapped in one.  It was a HUGE leap of faith.  It's something that I can't even believe I had the courage to do.  But I'm SO glad that I did.  

I feel like I am the same person that I was 2 years ago, yet I also feel completely different.   I feel more alive, I feel freer, I feel more passionate.  I feel like I have been released.

During these past 2 years I have shed weight- not pounds off of my body, but mental & physical baggage.  It has been an amazing journey.  One which I would not trade, one which I can only attribute to God's grace.  

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- 

and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-

not by works, so that no one can boast.

For we are God's handiwork, 

created in Christ Jesus to do good works,

which God prepared in advance for us to do.

(Ephesians 2: 8-10)

These scripture verses were written for me. They never get old.  They never stop resonating with my soul.  They never stop "talking" to me.  And I pray that I never stop listening.  

Thank you God for your grace.
