Word for 2014

My word for 2012 was OPEN.
For 2013 it was FOCUS.

For 2014 my word will be...

  {   T   R   U   S   T   }

according to Merriam-Webster, TRUST is:
belief that someone or something
is reliable, good, honest, effective, etc.

That "someone or something", for me,
is GOD.

I will   T R U S T  in his plan.
I will seek comfort in his words.
I will stop resisting.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
declares the Lord.
"As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
You will go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and hills
will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field
will clap their hands.
Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper,
and instead of briers the myrtle will grow.
This will be for the Lord's renown,
for an everlasting sign,
that will endure forever."
(Isaiah 55: 8-13)

Look at the birds of the air;
they do not sow or reap or store away in barns,
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not much more valuable than they?
(Matthew 6:26)

The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
he does not treat us as our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him.
(Psalm 103: 8-11)

"We are enlarged in the waiting.
We, of course, don't see what is enlarging us.
But the longer we wait, the larger we become,
and the more joyful our expectancy."
(Romans 8:25 MSG)

Praise be to God,
who has not rejected my prayer
or withheld his love from me!
(Psalm 66:20)

Be content with what you have,
because God has said,
"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."
(Hebrews 13:5)
