I am SO grateful for so many little things here at our condo. Here are just a few:
Indoor parking- not that we use our car very much at all (maybe 1 or 2 times a week), but it's so nice to have indoor parking and our own dedicated spot.
An elevator- I can certainly climb the stairs to the 3rd floor, but with a baby in a carriage & 2 dogs, an elevator is such a huge bonus.
A trash chute- just across the hall from our unit is a utility room. Inside there's a little door that you open & throw your trash down. I know this is pretty silly, but to me it's awesome. We used to have to pay for trash bags & drive our trash to the dump. And it's kind of fun.
Washer & dryer IN our unit- this is probably my favorite "little thing" here. I absolutely love being able to put in a load of laundry while I'm getting ready in the morning or when we are just hanging around the house. Doing laundry isn't a chore anymore. I do laundry every single day now, not just once a week.
A dishwasher- love it! Nothing more needs to be said.
An ice maker- which is kind of funny because I don't really like ice, especially made from tap water. But since having one I've actually used it almost daily.
A small tv with limited stations- yup, that's right. I am actually grateful that we don't have a big tv with tons of stations. I was kind of a tv freak before & now I'm not. And I don't miss it at all.
An open floor plan on 1 level- it feels so big in here & the natural light spreads throughout the condo. And we don't have to worry about Grace on the stairs (we only have 2 stairs that go up to the bedroom, but she's mastered those quite nicely).
Quiet neighbors- We have only seen a handfull of people in the hallways or elevator since we've been here. We've never heard anyone through the walls or above us. And the dogs don't seem to hear anything that bothers them because they've only barked once.
"You're blessed when you're content with who you are-
no more, no less.
That's the moment you find yourselves proud owners
of everything that can't be bought."
(Matthew 5:5)
